Driver Appreciation Week 2017
This week around the country we celebrate Driver Appreciation Week.
“National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is an opportunity for America to show our gratitude to the core of the economy, our professional truck drivers, and to set aside this week for them as they have earned it through their hard work and commitment to the industry,” said ATA Chairman Kevin Burch.
During this week, our terminals will be providing lunch as a small token of appreciation for the work our drivers do.
The following message went out to the drivers earlier this week; “Our thanks go out to all our drivers that sacrifice so much to make our company great! Your commitment to safety and the protection of our environment is why we do what we do each and every day. It is why our customer’s trust us to deliver their products in a safe and secure manner. Drivers are the life blood of our organization and we want you to know that your efforts are appreciated, not just this week, but every day of the year! Please continue your journey safely and never forget the importance of following that path to safety. No short cuts, no complacency, no accidents and no injuries! Do it right and do it safe! Thank you for your hard work and dedication!”
Even though we are celebrating this week, our thoughts and prayers go out to those that have been impacted by the recent hurricanes. When someone’s home and belongings are taken from them, it is a devastating event. We hope for a speedy and safe recovery for all those affected.
